DSI to summon 11 hospital directors for questioning

BANGKOK, 19 April 2012 – The Department of Special Investigation is planning to summon 11 hospital directors found to have been linked to the cold pill-smuggling network this week.

Following the dumping of packs of pseudoephedrine-based pill in Chiang Mai’s Sankamphaeng district, the DSI’s investigators have found some links to the 11 hospitals suspected of involvement in the case.

The hospital directors are to report to officers for questioning at the Government Complex on Chaeng Wattana road today and tomorrow.

The 11 hospitals implicated in the pill-trafficking case include Udon Thani’s Udon Thani Regional Hospital, Doi Lo Hospital, Uttaradit’s Thong Sang Khan Hospital, Hod Hospital, Siam Rat Hospital and Samphan Clinic in Chiang Mai, Buri Ram’s Nong Ki Hospital, Si Sa Ket’s Phusingh Hospital, Kalasin’s Kamalasai Hospital, Bangkok’s Navamin 1 Hospital, and Lop Buri’s Pornchai Clinic.
