MWA provides drinking and tap water for Songkran revellers for free

BANGKOK, 12 April 2012 -The Metropolitan Waterworks Authority of Thailand (MWA) is providing free cold drinking water for thirsty revellers and arranging trucks of water for them to fill up their containers for use in the water-splashing Songkran festival from today until tomorrow.

The move is a joint effort between the MWA and Phra Nakhon district office to encourage people to use clean water in the festival. People are able to fill up their buckets with water provided by the MWA at Phra Sumeru Fortress on Phra-arthit Road from 14.00 hr -21.00 hr. today and from 7.00 hr – 21.00 hr tomorrow.
