BANGKOK, 4 April 2012 – The Ministry of Public Health will send 15 teams of physicians and nurses to provide medical service for people in the procession for the Royal Cremation of Her Royal Highness Princess Bejaratana and mourners on 9 April.
Permanent Secretary for Public Health Md.Paichit Warachit said the medical teams from the ministry and physicians from the military, police as well as the private sector would be stationed at important locations surrounding the cremation site at Sanam Luang. Three rapid ambulances will be on standby in three locations around the site plus two more special ambulances for heart disease patients.
On 9 April, the Royal Urn will be moved from Dusit Throne Hall to the Royal Crematorium at Sanam Luang in the morning. Afterwards, the Royal Cremation will take place late in the afternoon.
The permanent secretary said he understood that people nationwide would want to show up at the ceremony to mourn HRH for the last time, but for unhealthy people, watching the ceremony on television would be a better option.
