BANGKOK, 21 March 2012 – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will hold a road show in the Republic of Korea to try to restore the investor’s confidence during her official visit, scheduled for March 26 to March 27.
Minister of Industry, M.R. Phongsawat Svastiwat, said the high-profile road show is organized to increase Thailand’s potential to attract South Korean investment. Ms Yingluck will also hold meetings with executives of LG and Samsung, South Korea’s largest conglomerates.
During the visit, the premier will give a keynote speech on “Building the Future for Thailand” at a seminar to be attended by more than 600 Korean investors. At the seminar, M.R. Pongsawat will give a talk on Thailand’s strategy to drive economy, industry and investment while the Korean-Thai Chamber of Commerce’s president will talk about his experience in conducting business in Thailand.
