BANGKOK, 25 January 2012 – A caravan of Malaysian travelers has joined the Chinese New Year celebration in southern Trang Province, a visit that helped make the festival spirits there more lively than usual.

On Tuesday evening, the “Land Cruiser KL” caravan of more than 100 cars from Malaysia arrived in Trang, where the Chinese New Year celebration was going on.

According to the group, said they too are on holidays and have planned to spend 2 days in the Thai southern coastal province.

Their surprise arrivals have turned up the mood of celebration in Trang, due to the fact that Malaysian travelers usually go to Singapore for the Chinese New Year holidays.

Mr. Steven Nga, the leader of the group, said that he decided to lead the caravan to Thailand’s South this holiday because of his impression in the culture and the warm and friendly nature of the people of Trang.
