BANGKOK, 12 January 2012 – The Department of Public Relations plans to promote goodness and role models at the 2012 National Children’s Day celebration on this Saturday.

Mr. Teerapong Sodasri, Director-General of the Public Relations Department (PRD), has revealed that PRD has been collaborating with Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) in organizing the 2012 National Children’s Day event.

This year, both hosts are determined to promote the concept of goodness and good role models among young participants.

Participating children are also hoped to learn about their role, discipline, rights and responsibilities for the society, as implied in Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s slogan of “Unity, knowledge, with wisdom, maintenance of Thainess and interest in technology”.

In addition, several fun activities have been planned for the day, including painting, meditation games, tree planting, singing contest and a radio program simulation.

The PRD-BAAC National Children’s Day event will be held at the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) on Viphavadee-Rangsit Road, Bangkok, from 8 am to 2 pm. The event will also be broadcast through the NBT network to audiences nationwide.
