University staff to receive minimum 15,000 baht month
Published on January 5, 2012 by TFP · No CommentsBANGKOK, 5 January 2012 – The Education Ministry has announced that the Cabinet has given a green-light for a minimum earning of 15,000 baht per month for public university staff with bachelor’s degree.
Education Minister Worawat Ua-apinyakul yesterday announced that from January 1st onwards, public university staff with a bachelor’s degree, whose salary was below 15,000 baht, would receive the raise.
Nearly 16,000 staff from 77 universities are entitled to the raise. The scheme, which is set to improve the quality of employees, will take up around 388 million baht of the budget.
